(SuperVenturesBlog)  Super Ventures has launched a $10 Million incubator and investment fund dedicated to augmented reality (AR). The company already invested in AR companies Waygo, which instantly translates Chinese, Japanese, and Korean characters to English and Fringefy, a visual search engine for mobile devices and wearables. Ori Inbar, founder and general manager of Super Ventures, says the augmented reality market is already bigger than the virtual reality market. Augmented reality is expected to grow into a $90 billion industry by 2020, according to VR/AR adviser Digi-Capital.
Inbar said, “Establishing an investment fund and incubator furthers our influence in the AR space by allowing us to invest in passionate entrepreneurs and incubate technologies that will become the foundation for the next wave of computing.”
