(ZDNet)  Qualcomm announced that its Snapdragon 820 processor now supports Google’s augmented reality platform Tango. The chipmaker also plans to support Tango on future Snapdragon 600 and 800-series processors. Qualcomm already supports Tango with its Snapdragon 652 processor, which powers the Lenovo Phab2 Pro, the first Tango-enabled smartphone.
Tango uses a depth-sensing camera array to track the 3D motion of the device, then map out the surrounding environment, and create on-phone augmented reality.
