(ZDNet) Google launched its virtual reality software development kit (SDK) out of beta last week, adding native integration of Google’s VR platform in Unity. The headsets and smartphones compatible with Google’s VR platform, called Daydream, won’t be available until later this fall.
Google is also now taking applications for its Daydream Access Program, which gives developers the opportunity to work with Google engineers on Daydream content. “When you create content for the Daydream platform, you know your apps will work seamlessly across every Daydream-ready phone and headset,” wrote Product Manager Nathan Martz.
